Employee Of The Week

Our team at their best

Follow our weekly Employee of the Week update as all the team members honour an individual team member for their passionate and hard work during the week, through our patented democratic peer voting system (it's not really patented). This happens every Friday and sometimes on the following Monday if a deadline looms.

Handyman

Dawie van der Westhuizen | 27/04/06

“Thanks to Dawie, everyone here at Shapeshift can use the facilities with ease and also have a reliable escape route when things get too heavy for the senses. This proves to us that he's not just good at the whole animation thing, he is also quite an exceptional fixer of things.

What would we do without him? I dare not ask this question. Well technically I did. But that was more of a saying really, not a literal statement.

Anyway, another reason for him receiving the award is because he is Dave and even Chuck would vote for him.

Respect.”

Star

Ricky van der Walt | 20/04/06

“Ricky is okay and yes, that is a chameleon on his shoulder.

Fans have gone as far as saying that he was a real star this week and that every company needs a guy like him to become and stay the best. Heck, I'll take four. Where do I pay?”

Animation Engineer

Dawie van der Westhuizen | 12/04/06

“Rumors going around the animation department this week have suggested that Dawie's skills go far beyond that of the conventional animator and that he is breaking new ground in the field of engineered animation. This advancement adds a whole new dimension to the way websites and interactive presentations are made and will pave the way forward in a brilliant display of human ingenuity.”

Employee of da Week

Sean Tarr | 06/04/06

“"He enjoys work so much, he thinks its holiday."

At a press conference held after the award ceremony, Sean commented on this statement saying, "Isn't it?".

We, here at the council, are under the impression that Sean might be working at Shapeshift for a bit too long and the regular exposure to cutting edge ideas has somehow warped his perception of work and play. This is indeed an amazing phenomenon and further studies will be conducted to determine how to shape this train of thought in the minds of fledgling Shapeshifters.

Stay tuned for updates.”
